Colm McDaid – Lead Sustainability Architect UK & Ireland, Fujitsu Services

  • Speaker Bio:

    Colm is the Lead Sustainability Architect for the UK and Ireland with Fujitsu Services and manager of the Sustainability Engagement Team.

    He is a Fujitsu Distinguished Engineer and holds a Master Degree in Computer Science and a Hons Degree in Engineering. He is also GreenIT Certified and a member of the BCS.

    Colm has a long standing interest in all things environmental / sustainable that stretches back almost 30 years to determining pollution levels whilst at college.

    His diversified background enables him to fulfil his passion, which is the use of IT to reduce the environmental impact and he firmly believes that ICT can help solve a number of major global problems.

    Colm is currently engaged on a European Commission initiative to determine the Best Environmental Management Practices within the ICT sector. His remit within Fujitsu is to increase awareness of sustainability, delivering consultancy to customers, supporting new engagement opportunities and promotion of sustainability initiatives .
